Mobile marketing can increase sales by up to 20%
Mobile devices have burst onto the market in 2013 with more force than ever before. It is estimated that there are already 5.9 trillion users of smartphones and other mobile devices worldwide, a figure that represents 87% of the world’s population.
The mobile web also moves figures to keep in mind. Around 1.5 billion users use the mobile web all over the world is not far behind. It is one of the countries with the most penetration of smartphones and the strategies to attract users through the mobile web do not stop growing.
“The mobile web is a priority for companies because approximately 70% of users are more willing to buy products and services when they visit mobile optimized webs,” says Sílvia Guinart, CEO of the communication company Guinart Group.
This year in mobile marketing is estimated to grow by around 65%, 20% more than in 2012 and a total volume of 152 million euros.
“Approximately 7 out of 10 companies that have presence on mobile devices increase their activity and sales,” says Guinart. “This makes mobile marketing practically essential because starting a good strategy can increase sales by up to 20% per campaign”
Tablets are essential in mobile marketing strategies. More than 14% of Europeans have a tablet and if we talk about the age range of 18 to 24 years, this percentage increases to 25%.
Smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices are a phenomenon in constant growth in and the rest of the world. All of these figures further underline the need to plan and implement mobile strategies tailored to consumer needs and new trends.
