Making Working from Home Work for You
To some of us, working from home is business as usual, but over the last few months, many people have had to quickly adjust to working form home, many having never done it before. For some people this was harder than others. With the kids also being off school, this creates added pressure on work, and for some, simply being away from the office environment was a difficult situation to adjust to.
When it comes to working form home, one of the most important things to get right is to find somewhere to work in the home that is as free of distractions as possible. Of course, not everyone has a spare bedroom available for a home office. But there are better places to work than others. For example, sitting in bed on a laptop is probably not a great idea, but if you have a dressing table in the bedroom, simply by putting your laptop on there can create a kind of desk and bedrooms tend to be quieter and away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house.
If you have a garden and are planning on working from home in the long term, a garden office is a good way to have a separate home and working life. You don’t have to have a great deal of space; you would be surprised at what you may be able to fit in!
