Many small businesses and businesses have not yet discovered the potential of Social Media

A recent study developed by Office Arrow reveals that while some small business owners use social media and these affect their businesses in a positive way, most do not know how to start using them in their companies. Moreover, most do not plan to make any investment until they understand the practices well, although they have not paid an expert to do it.

In the infographic that they presented at the end of this article, a great majority (88%) of these small companies is aware of the potential of Social Media. Of the total number of companies, 63% claim to be present in social networks and of these, 61% do so on Facebook, 48% on LinkedIn, 37% on Twitter, 14% on Google+ and 6% on others. as Foursquare.

For this type of business, publications in the form of a blog are also a powerful communication tool that can also help to increase the visibility of your companies and your brand on the internet, offering much more in-depth information about your activities, products and services, which can also be shared on social networks.

But, what are the reasons why they are using social media and networks?

49% to publicize or strengthen their brand, 33% to position themselves as opinion leaders, 32% to provide better assistance to the client and 17% to generate reviews or collect opinions about their products. An amazing 31% does not cite any of these reasons, and the cause is that they do not know where to start with such a wide range of options.

However, many are not yet acting despite knowing the true potential of social media. Why? The reasons are varied, and among them we find that they do not want to share everything they know or have, do not know where to start, believe that it will not help them with their businesses, that their cost can be very high, as well as that they do not have enough time , resources or employees to be able to correctly manage or execute their social media strategies.

It is clear that although the participation and use of social media by small businesses is an increasing trend, many of them have not yet discovered their true potential for their businesses.
